Health is Wealth

HEALTH IS WEALTH.

HONEY; secret of energy booster.
one tablespoon of honey before bed can also increase fingsi brain. Because fructose is stored as energy reserves in the liver and the brain will be working at night. In addition, honey can boost the immune system and has antibacterial effects both internally and externally so that helps speed up recovery of the body.

TOO MUCH CAFFEINE UPS RISK OF KIDNEY STONES;
People who are prone to kidney stones should limit their caffeine intake, new research suggests. When investigators gave people with a history of kidney stones a dose of caffeine equivalent to that found in two cups of coffee, they began to excrete more calcium in their urine, putting them at increased risk of forming kidney stones. Study author  Dr. Linda K. Massey told that stone suffers should limit themselves to less than two cups of coffee per day or a comparable amount of caffeine from other sources. And that limit of two cups means, literally, 16 ounces-not two enormous mugs of coffee, which can contain much more caffeine, she said.

LIGHT AT NIGHT MIGHT BE A RISK OF CANCER;
Could electric light pose a cancer threat?
It might seem like the wildest of paranoid beliefs, but a growing number of scientists suspect it might be true. The reason: Turning on the lights after dark may affect a small number of “clock genes” that play a major role in controlling how cells live, die and function, these researchers suggest.Specifically, the experts say, there is evidence that night lighting can help cause cancer by interfering with the molecular mechanisms that control cell death and multiplication.
HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE;WHAT YOU NEED TO NOW.
* Essential information about High Blood Pressure.

* What is high blood pressure?

When the heart beats, blood is forced through the arteries and it “pushes out” against the walls of the arteries. This “pushing out” is known as blood pressure. Blood pressure is stated as two numbers: systolic and diastolic pressures. These two numbers are displayed one above the other like this: 120/78.

* Symptoms of high blood pressure
There are no reliable, recognizable symptoms of high blood pressure.

* What causes high blood pressure?
In the rare cases where the cause is known, they usually include one or more of the following:
an abnormal kidney
a structural abnormality of the aorta
narrowing of one or more arteries.

* How can high blood pressure be controlled?
There are several things that can be done to help control high blood pressure. These include:
Lose weight. Excess fat has been linked to
high blood pressure.
Eat a well-balanced, low sodium diet.
*Conclusion
High blood pressure is a very serious disorder that must be controlled in order to enjoy a long, healthy life. Be sure to live a generally healthy lifestyle and have your blood pressure checked regularly.
*Warning Signs of A HEART ATTACK
Most heart attacks aren’t like in the movies – sudden and intense. Usually, they start slowly, with mild pain or discomfort. Often people affected aren’t sure what’s wrong and wait too long before getting help. Here are the most common signs of a heart attack or heart disease that could lead to one. Chest discomfort. Most heart attacks involve discomfort in the center of the chest that lasts more than a few minutes, or that goes away and comes back. It can feel like uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness or pain. ymptoms can include pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw or stomach. Shortness of breath, which women in particular may have without chest discomfort.

Other signs: breaking out in a cold sweat, indigestion, nausea or lightheadedness.
Low-Fat dairy may lower risk of diabetes
Eating low-fat dairy products may help slightly lower the risk of developing diabetes, a new study of more than 40,000 middle-aged men suggests. Each additional serving of low-fat dairy per day resulted in a 9 percent drop in risk.
who ate more low-fat milk, yogurt, ice cream and cheese were less likely to get Type 2 diabetes during a 12-year period. Sour cream, whole milk and cream cheese, however, didn’t help. In an accompanying editorial, Janet King a researcher at Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute cautioned that milk appears to increase the risk of prostate cancer and, in certain children, Type 1 diabetes.

Type 1, once called juvenile diabetes, is caused by the body’s inability to produce insulin. Type 2, the most common form of diabetes, can result from overweight, inactivity and poor diet.
King also said milk can be part of a diet that lowers blood pressure and has been linked to a lower risk of colorectal cancer.
Walking burns more fat then runing
ISLAMABAD: Researchers have found that low-intensity exercise may burn more fat than high-intensity activities when it comes to shedding pounds.

The findings were reported in the International Journal of Sports Medicine.

The research team, led by Dr. Vassilis Mougios of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, randomly assigned 14 normal-weight and overweight women to one of two groups: one that exercised on a treadmill at a moderate pace, four times a week; and one that worked out at a more vigorous clip, also four times per week. There is no such thing as one “magic exercise,” said lead study author Dr. Vassilis Mougios of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece.
Busy minds may slow Alzheimer’s
Keeping the brain busy may help stave off signs of Alzheimer’s disease, researchers report.

The University of Chicago study found that mice that lived in an “enriched environment” with chew toys, running wheels and tunnels that helped keep their brains and bodies active had lower levels of Alzheimer’s-associated brain plaques and protein buildup than mice that lived in less stimulating surroundings. His team’s research focused on mice genetically engineered to mimic early onset Alzheimer’s disease in humans, including a similar clumping of amyloid proteins around brain cells. Brain tissue levels of toxic b-amyloid tangles or plaques associated with Alzheimer’s were markedly lower in mice with the more intellectually challenging environment, compared to their less-stimulated counterparts, the researchers said. In the meantime, it certainly couldn’t hurt for aging humans to get more mentally and physically active. “It’s all very important in keeping the mind active and potentially staving off effects of old age.”
